Welcome to CfE Learning.

 CfE Learning is an interactive online educational resource that has been created to compliment and enhance students understanding of A Curriculum for Excellence at Level 3, National 4/5, Higher and Advanced Higher curriculum.

Teaching has always been a passion of mine and anyone that knows me knows how much enjoyment and reward I get from teaching Geography.  I started teaching in 2007 and during this time I have developed an extensive understanding of the Scottish Curriculum.  

I find being a teacher to be one of the most rewarding professions. Producing creative and innovative materials and resources to inspire learning and ensure students are engaged, included and motivated in their own learning experience allows them to achieve the goals that they have set for themselves.

I have been involved in producing materials and resources for many aspects of the Scottish Curriculum, most noticeably by co-writing the National Geography textbooks for Hodder and Gibson - The Physical Environment, The Human Environment, Global Issues and How to Pass the Geography Assignment.

As a teacher, I have always tried to use real-life experiences and real world examples to engage students and foster an interest and an understanding of our natural and man-made environments.

Teaching and learning has changed drastically over recent years and students and teachers are able to access technology and online resources to enhance the learning experience.  CfE Learning has been created to ensure that teachers and students are able to access high quality materials and resources to enhance teaching and learning.

A genuine love of my subject, a passion for teaching and a determination to help students achieve, have all been the driving force behind creating CFE Learning.
